About My Clients
Have you experienced relational, sexual, religious, or secondary trauma and find yourself struggling with boundaries in your relationships, either with others or within yourself? Many of my clients are navigating unresolved pain from past wounds and are dealing with the effects of unhealthy relational dynamics. If you're ready to explore how your experiences shape your current decisions and relationships, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental presence to help you gain clarity and heal.
My Background and Approach
I work from a systems-based perspective, believing that our relationships, family dynamics, and personal experiences are deeply interconnected. With over 20 years of experience helping male survivors of trauma, I offer a direct, solution-focused, and empowering trauma-informed approach. My work integrates Narrative Therapy, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Psychodynamic Therapy to provide holistic care. Rather than seeing you as defined by past experiences, I view you as the storyteller of your lived experience. Together, we'll explore how past experiences shape your present, focusing on building healthier patterns and aligning your actions with your authentic self. Whether you are navigating relational concerns, boundary challenges, or the complexities of family dynamics, I offer a non-judgmental space to help you gain clarity. My goal is to help you break free from unhealthy patterns and create lasting change, fostering a deeper connection with yourself and others.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the interconnectedness of all people and the power of community to create meaningful change. I am passionate about advocating for those whose voices are often overlooked, including adults navigating trauma or abuse, foster children, and men facing the challenges of societal expectations. I value inclusion, cultural sensitivity, and supporting people in moments of crisis. Volunteering with Special Olympics, domestic violence programs, and events for diverse communities has strengthened these values in my work. I approach therapy with empathy, honesty, and a focus on helping people make practical, lasting changes in their lives. I also love traveling and usually find a way to keep my plant garden with me as I road trip along.
