About My Clients
When counseling clients, my approach is to address the entire person. I believe that “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts" -Aristotle. We will begin by building a relationship. I will listen to you. I will learn what you want to change and how willing you are to make those changes. We will then establish goals, set priorities, and utilize clinically proven treatments that allow us to travel on this journey together as a team. My role as a therapist is to be a catalyst to you and help.
My Background and Approach
In the here and now... I do my thing. You do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations. You are not in this world to live up to mine. You are You. I am I. If by chance we find each other, it’s beautiful. If not, it can’t be helped. -Fritz Perls "But the question's still what are we doin' here? I don't think the answer's close at hand." -Jimmy Buffett
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My belief is that the therapist and the client both have active roles. My goal is to provide a comfortable and supportive environment. Your part will be to identify goals that you would like to achieve during therapy and be willing to examine any potential obstacles and strengths that will either hinder or help you move toward obtaining your desired goals.
