About My Clients
I work best with individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and patterns rooted in past or intergenerational experiences. Many of my clients are seeking deeper self-understanding, healthier relationships, and tools to cope with stress, identity concerns, or emotional overwhelm. I have a particular interest in supporting Black and African American clients in a culturally responsive, affirming space.
My Background and Approach
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Mercer University in Atlanta and an intern at A Place for Me Counseling & Coaching. I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and collaboration, creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe being their authentic selves. My work is grounded in relational and systems-based approaches, helping clients understand how family dynamics, relationships, culture, and past experiences influence present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. As a graduate intern practicing under supervision, I am committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. My clinical interests include life transitions, relationship concerns, and intergenerational trauma. I prioritize building a trusting, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship and support clients in gaining insight, developing healthier patterns, and cultivating self-compassion, confidence, and meaningful change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing begins with connection, authenticity, and compassionate collaboration. I am deeply committed to culturally responsive care and value honoring each client’s identity, lived experience, and strengths. I am especially passionate about supporting Black and African American individuals, couples, and families, and I align with values of equity, inclusion, and social justice. I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected without judgment. Outside of my clinical work, I value community, family, and personal growth. I enjoy spending time with loved ones, exploring new restaurants, staying active through dance and fitness, and continuously learning about mental health, wellness, and personal development. These values shape the way I show up as a clinician—present, curious, and deeply invested in each client’s journey.
