About My Clients
Struggling with communication in your relationship? I specialize in improving communication through connecting to deeper emotions and truths. The partners I work with are open-minded and determined to improve their relationships. I invite folks to show up authentically and vulnerably. You don't have to be good at this, you just have to be willing to try. I am eager to work with all populations :)
My Background and Approach
Prior volunteer experience with formerly-incarcerated women in Los Angeles opened my mind to the complexity of life's dilemmas and how they impact us as people in relationships. This experience taught me to let go of judgement - everyone's story is so much more nuanced than what shows on the surface. I began my training and practicing couple's therapy in 2018, graduating with my Master's degree in 2019, and refining my skills since then, going on to perform live sessions of couple's therapy and to receive training in Emotionally-Focused Theory. In session we will co-create a loving, non-judgmental space where we will collaborate as equals to solve our agreed-upon goals. I'm an experiential teacher, so you will learn new ways of connecting by practicing in session where I will offer live feedback, reflections, and guidance. We will incorporate mindful breathing into our work, and close out with a brief practice of gratitude at the end of each session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my past lives, I've volunteered as a teacher and a case manager. Today, I take the skills I learned through connecting with and teaching others to create immersive, life-changing experiences in couple's therapy. I'm proud to be a first-generation, Latinx clinician. I'm also queer, sex positive, and gender non-conforming.
