About My Clients
I see clients ages 12+ in person or via telehealth. I specialize in Anxiety, Trauma, and ADHD in addition to LGBTQ+ clients and teens! I have experience with Veterans as well. I am an LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clinician and I work very well with other neurodivergent individuals.
My Background and Approach
I have a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree from the University of Toledo. I am licensed to practice in both Ohio and Michigan. I fall to the more casual end of the therapist spectrum, and I place a lot of emphasis on creating a safe and comfortable environment for my clients. I am a big believer in participating in therapy in the way that works for you, whether that means attending weekly in-person sessions or calling in via telehealth from the comfort of your couch with your pet by your side! I utilize a mixture of multiple therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, Solution Focused therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I employ a person-centered approach and tailor my intervention to what will work best for you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that every person desires to be the healthiest and happiest version of themselves, but we don't always have the skills to reach our goals alone. I strive to be an extra pillar of support and walk alongside my clients as they do the work for themselves! I am a human rights advocate in every way I can be, from Black Lives Matter marches to providing gender affirming mental healthcare to LGBTQ+ youth. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself and strive for allyship in regards to marginalized groups that I do not belong to. I also volunteer with a Veteran Outreach organization to provide Equine Assisted Social Emotional Learning intervention for Military kids.
