About My Clients
I specialize in helping clients reduce their anxiety, manage stress, and improve challenging relationship patterns. When facing these struggles, the task of “where do I begin” can feel overwhelming. Let me help guide you down that path! When looking for a therapist, finding a good fit can be a daunting task. I have extensive experience in working with “first timers”, helping to negotiate the fear and hesitation that has commonly kept them from seeking therapy sooner.
My Background and Approach
Since graduating from the Tulane School of Social Work in 2012, I have had a wide variety of clinical experiences, to include inpatient psychiatry, community mental health, and private practice. Most recently, I have been working primarily with college students and medical professionals in the Ann Arbor community. I completed my B.S. in Women's and Gender Studies at Eastern Michigan University. This significantly influences me as a therapist, as I draw heavily from the feminist perspective, and the impacts of intersectionality. I consider myself an eclectic therapist, borrowing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Overall, it is my belief that human connection is the most powerful agent of change. As such, it is my goal to create a safe space that encourages growth and empowerment.
