About My Clients
I work with adults navigating a wide range of challenges, including trauma, ADHD/neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, parentification, relationship and parenting concerns, stress, and life transitions. I specialize in working with ADHDers who want to gain insight into their neurodivergence, process a late in life diagnosis, and reduce shame/negative self-beliefs. I also especially enjoy supporting those exploring how past experiences shape present patterns and relationships.
My Background and Approach
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland and my master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College. My clinical experience includes work in a college counseling center, in-home family support, and outpatient individual and group therapy. I ground my work in providing trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming care, offering a warm, supportive space where you can show up as your full self. Together, we’ll find what works best for you, drawing from tools like EMDR, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, CBT, Relational-Cultural Theory, and feminist theory.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m deeply committed to working with diverse and marginalized individuals navigating impacts of personal and systemic challenges. As an ADHDer, I also bring both personal insight and specialized training to my work with neurodivergent clients. I strongly believe that neurodivergence isn't something that needs to be 'fixed.' Rather, I value supporting clients in reducing impacts of internalized ableism. This might look like reducing shame and challenging beliefs related to being lazy, irresponsible, impulsive. etc. I also value empowering clients within the therapy relationship, and believe that healing can happen best when we feel safe and understood.
