About My Clients
My clients are often thoughtful, caring, and exhausted from carrying too much. They may struggle with anxiety, ADHD, people-pleasing, perfectionism, family pressure, cultural expectations, or relationship stress. Many are South Asian, first-generation, or navigating life between cultures. They want to feel more confident, set boundaries without guilt, understand their patterns, and build relationships that feel safer, more honest, and more connected.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with a background in human development, coaching, mindfulness, and culturally responsive care. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that people make sense within the context of their relationships, culture, and lived experiences. I draw from narrative therapy, family systems, IFS-informed care, DBT-informed skills, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and play-based interventions. Together, we explore the stories and patterns shaping your life, build practical tools for regulation and communication, and strengthen your ability to trust yourself. I especially value working with South Asian clients, neurodivergent individuals, people-pleasers, couples, and families navigating identity, expectations, transitions, and connection. My goal is to offer a space where you feel seen, supported, gently challenged, and empowered to create meaningful change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are not broken; they are often responding to experiences, relationships, and expectations that have shaped how they learned to survive and connect. Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand those patterns with compassion, and choose what still fits. I believe healing happens through safe relationships, honest reflection, nervous system regulation, and learning to trust your own voice. Culture, family, identity, and community matter, and I strive to honor these parts of you rather than asking you to leave them outside the room. I also believe boundaries can be loving, emotions are meaningful, and change does not require abandoning who you are. You are the author of your story, and therapy can help you reclaim the parts of yourself that may have been silenced, overlooked, or shaped by others’ expectations.
