About My Clients
I work with POCs, especially children of immigrants, who struggle with trauma, perfectionism, mistrust, or feeling disconnected from themselves or partners. In therapy, we explore how past experiences shape patterns, practice new ways of responding, and most clients gain tools and insights within the first month that bring relief and self-compassion.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in trauma work using EMDR and couples therapy with the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Therapy. I also draw from other approaches to tailor therapy to your needs, helping you process past experiences, build self-compassion, and connect more deeply with yourself and others. I’ve been in therapy for over a decade, exploring many approaches myself, and I’ve learned what truly helps. I bring that understanding to my work with individuals and couples. I get how hard it can feel to start therapy—the uncertainty, the awkwardness—and I provide a space that’s safe, real, and grounded.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe and navigate life with an anti-oppressive lens, making sure to not cause harm or distress to any living being. I am an active volunteer at a local animal rescue organization as a foster dog parent and have fostered 3 rescue dogs since 2021. As a dog parent and lover, I advocate and share the benefits of Animal-assisted therapy highlighting the importance of the human-canine bond in fostering healing and growth.
