About My Clients
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it may feel like you've been carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. You try to accomplish so much but it doesn't go the way you expect it to or sometimes it goes the opposite way. It can be hard to hold all that inside. Therapy can be a great place to release all of that anxiety, sadness and talk about those life stressors or unpredictable events.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have many years of experience in helping people cope with anxiety, stress, trauma and going through those tough life transitions that leave you feeling really down and low. I use a collaborative approach with those I work with. Together we will work towards meeting your own personal mental health goals through an integrative approach that best suits you. Research indicates that psychotherapy has been proven to have positive benefits for many individuals who utilize the service. Therapy often leads to a significant reduction in feelings of distress, increased satisfaction in interpersonal relationships, greater personal awareness and insight, increased skills for managing stress and resolutions to specific problems. I am here to meet you where you are at in your journey and to support you along your chosen path. In the end, I hope to leave you with a sense of hope and overall satisfaction and confidence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that life can be so tough and we all try our best to survive and get through it. Everyone's journey is unique and special and so I will always honor your perspective and guide you through counseling in an authentic way that makes you feel good and feel more like yourself. I believe that finding the right therapist is very important for your own personal growth and if I am not the best fit for you, I will support you in finding someone that is. I believe that we all deserve to live without holding all the weight of the world on our shoulders and once you find that way to alleviate even just a little of it, you will feel better. And lastly, I believe we all need some self love! We sometimes are so busy caring for others that we forget to take care of ourselves and show ourselves love.
