About My Clients
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and more. My ideal client seeks understanding and a collaborative approach to improve emotional well-being. I value empowering clients and families through education and personalized care, helping them build resilience and achieve mental wellness.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of nursing experience. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Education and a Post-Master’s Certification in Psychiatry. My specialties include treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. I take a holistic and culturally sensitive approach, tailoring care to each patient’s unique needs. My professional journey includes clinical roles and leadership within the Western New York Veteran healthcare system. Currently, I provide care at BestSelf Behavioral Health, where I continue to prioritize education, empathy, and evidence-based practices to foster mental wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Born in Jamaica and raised in a multigenerational Caribbean household, I understand the value of cultural sensitivity in care. My belief in holistic mental health drives my approach, treating not just symptoms but the whole person. I strive to create a safe and supportive space for open dialogue, empowering clients and families through education and collaboration. Mental health is a journey we navigate together, and I am committed to helping my patients achieve resilience and emotional well-being.
