About My Clients
I have experience counseling adult individuals and families coping with grief, trauma, addiction, existential concerns, sexuality and recovery.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from St. Edward's University with a B.A. in Anthropology and an M.A. in Counseling with a dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Counseling. In addition, I am an Acudetox Specialist. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and dog, practicing yoga, reading thrillers and enjoying nature photography. I am a descendant of the Old 300 and a second generation Native Austinite.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My counseling style is warm, empathetic, integrative, pragmatic and person-centered. I believe that a therapeutic relationship should be a collaborative one in which you and I work together to discover creative strategies, solutions and, at times, even humorous insights to help you practice new ways to thrive. I look forward to exploring these areas and more with you. My work draws its influence from the counseling theories and styles of Carl Rogers, Virginia Satir and Murray Bowen.
