About My Clients

You may be carrying pain from the past, struggling in your relationships, or simply craving a deeper sense of peace and clarity. You don’t need to have all the answers to begin, just a willingness to be supported. Whether you're navigating trauma, grief, or major life shifts, therapy can help you feel more connected, empowered, and in control of your path forward. You're not alone in this.

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon, and I’ve been providing mental health support since 1999 and received my license in 2016. For much of my licensed career, I’ve had the privilege of working with the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, where I’ve supported individuals and families navigating grief, trauma, and the deep intergenerational impact of historical loss. Together, we have worked through these traumas to come out better on the other side and find new paths that are truer to the client's desires and life purpose.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe families are important, and hope to foster connections between clients and their families when it is healthy to do so, and when the client desires it. I have an adult child who is transgender, and a school-age child who is still figuring out her gender identity and preferences. As such, the LGBTQ community is important to me and I try to stay aware of current events and how it might effect the community. In my free time, I love gaming and spend some of my time in an online community of friends in a MMO (massively multiplayer online game). I also love horses and animals in general and spend time with my pets which currently consist of two Peterbald (hairless) cats, a Dobermutt, and a three-toed box turtle I have had for around 35 years. I like getting outside too, and camping as well as kayaking when the weather is good (by Oregon standards). Occasionally, I gather my family and travel out of the state, and I enjoy it, but it takes the stars lining up to happen!
