About My Clients
Many of my clients grew up with considerable pain in their family of origin, and they are still grappling with the repercussions in their current life, such as high-anxiety perfectionism, feeling permanently damaged or worthless, or difficulty in relationships. Many have families of their own now and feel desperate to not "repeat the cycle". Others seek support to process "little 't' trauma" – events that are hard and distressing but not quite a full PTSD diagnosis.
My Background and Approach
My style is warm, holistic, and inquisitive. I’ll equally validate you and challenge you. We’ll process through what’s happened and figure out what’s keeping you stuck with a lot of compassion, while providing tangible tools to get you unstuck in a pace that feels safe and comfortable. My main framework comes from my advanced training in an evidence based approach called Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps you understand your own inner world and access your innate ability to transform and heal. Additionally, I pull from attachment based therapy and polyvagal tools to regulate your nervous system for a holistic approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My deepest hope is for you to be filled with an abundant sense of enoughness and worthiness of love. I am committed to creating a safe, nonjudgemental and accepting space for my clients to lay it all out there, to be messy, and to grow and heal, and to ultimately thrive. By guiding my clients towards healthy forms of connection starting in therapy, my clients restore their views of themselves, (and dare I say even love themselves!), enabling them to lead authentic and fulfilling lives aligned with their values, and find the peace and wholeness they so crave.
