About My Clients
I offer a curious and exploratory approach to supporting my clients through difficult passages in life. Working within a relational framework, I strive to cultivate a sense of openness and compassion for all aspects of your identity and who you are. I find that this framework best suits motivated and engaged adult clients who are ready to create meaningful change in the here and now. I enjoy partnering with clients who are ready to dive a little deeper into their inner worlds to expand and grow.
My Background and Approach
I implement a variety of modalities into the therapy process including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I have received formal training in. We collaboratively explore how trauma and "unfinished business" from the past may be playing out in the present to foster healing and an alleviation of distressing symptoms. I utilize interventions aimed at developing self compassion, acceptance, and alignment with what is most meaningful and valuable in your life through an approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I often implement mindfulness exercises into sessions, as well as "here and now" relationally-based interventions to explore how patterning that is present in other relationships in your life may be showing up in the therapy relationship as well. Together, we examine limiting core beliefs you may have developed from experiences in your past, your family, or society at large that inhibit you from authentic connection to self and others.
