About My Clients
I love working with children, adolescents and young adults. Focusing primarily on ages 8 through 40, I work best with those struggling with life transitions, trauma, behavioral issues, mood disorders, anxiety, self esteem, perfectionism and ADHD. I also have background working with the LGBTQIA community and those struggling with disordered eating patterns. Due to my age (28) adolescents and young adults tend to click with me!
My Background and Approach
I use a strengths based, client centered approach that meets each client where they are at. I have experience utilizing play therapy, art therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and Person Centered therapy models. I also have multiple years of crisis intervention. I have many years of professional experience working with those experiencing crisis, including clients struggling with suicidal ideation, self harm, homelessness and family and relational conflict. I provide individual, family and parenting counseling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves a warm and welcoming space to talk about what is most important to them. As someone who is also neurodivergent and struggles with anxiety, I understand how daunting asking for help can be, and I am happy to help find that safe space in anyway that I can. I am here to help you develop and meet your goals. I believe in the transformative power of building the therapeutic relationship first.
