About My Clients
Having seen senior military officers with their unique pressures, professionals separated from families, retirement concerns, those medically compromised, those facing addictions, trauma, preparing for death, past sexual offenses, sexual dysfunction, psychosis, and more, no topic is taboo. Most of my clients in the last year have been older adults with depression and/or substance concerns, psychosis, chronic medical illnesses or pain, or individuals with terminal illnesses.
My Background and Approach
With 21 years of government work experience and international cultures, including five years of practice under supervision, four with US Army Special Operations and Medical Branch experiences, and one year with adults committed at the Northeast Florida State Hospital, I am a mature existential-humanistic psychotherapist working under clinical supervision. Beginning with a free consultation session and a first initial full session to discuss your main concerns raised, OSL primarily offers depth in: Existential-Humanistic Therapy : Live meaningful & satisfying lives or endings. Experiential-Existential Therapy : From emptiness to a self-aware fullness Psychodynamic-Existential Therapy : Illuminate Your Inner World & Live With Great Satisfaction. I am currently pursuing the Existential-Humanistic Institute certificate programs, OSL is ISO45003 Qualified, CPR/BLS certified, and am pending provisional licensure as of 8.25.2025 in Florida as an RMHCI while pursuing a doctorate program.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that there a person deserving of love and care in every human being, irrespective of life choices and systemic circumstances. Each person has my unconditional positive regard, and my full attention in every session to exist together in a space that is safe, hopeful, and energizing. I am Deaf Allied, Queer Allied, and am a Single Parent of a child with medical concerns. I support helping people and groups with international acculturation issues in Jacksonville, Florida, give supportive services to disaster recovery resources such as for the Maui wildfires of 2023 and Haiti conflicts today, and more. Additionally, I participate in multicultural events and 5k walks on mental health and older adult medical concern topics of interest in Northeast Florida.
