About My Clients
I work with individuals, couples, and families at various intersections of marginalization who have experienced trauma as a result of institutionalized oppression. I find joy in supporting clients in expanding their sense of self and their ability to trust their intuition and move toward deeper fulfillment and self-trust.
My Background and Approach
I take a systemic and trauma-focused approach to therapy incorporating Internal Family Systems theory, Experiential practices, and somatic work to explore and build trust with the parts of ourselves that have unmet needs. I believe our bodies hold our experiences and those of generations before us. This also means that we hold the knowledge and ability to heal from these experiences and build a deeper sense of agency and connection for ourselves as we navigate the social systems that shape our current world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Black queer woman from South Minneapolis. I have a deep appreciation for the joys and support systems that are built out of authentic and loving communities. I believe in liberation through community and the power of joy and play among the most marginalized.
