About My Clients
I specialize in working with BIPOC (especially mixed folks), LGBTQ+ adults, queer and gender-expansive youth, survivors of sexual assault and grief support.
My Background and Approach
My clinical work is deeply relational and rooted in social justice. My overall goal as a therapist is to support you in living a meaningful, values-aligned life and there are several ways I approach that goal. Particularly during trauma work, my therapeutic approach is emotion-focused, somatic/body-based, trauma-informed, and non-pathologizing. I also will use parts work, ACT, and psychodynamic modalities. When working with clients around grief, my goal isn't to make the grief go away or to tell you "you're grieving wrong," but instead to give grief space to breathe. In practice, that looks like both sitting with the pain and also making space for honoring and celebrating your loved one. This work also can involve navigating a complex relationship or mixed feelings about the person who died.
