About My Clients
Rachel specializes in medication management for adults and adolescents with the following mental health concerns: ADHD, Addiction, Anxiety, Binge Eating Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Insomnia, OCD, and Trauma.
My Background and Approach
Rachel is a board certified nurse practitioner, dual licensed and experienced as both Psychiatric NP and Family NP. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Masters of Science in Nursing in 2018. She laid the foundation of her career working with underserved and culturally diverse populations in the community health setting. Here, she focused on meeting the needs of the community and gained experience in primary care, women’s health, mental health, and addiction.. It was through this work that she appreciated the interconnectedness of mental health to physical wellness as well as the gap in available services to treat the increasing mental health needs among the community. Rachel returned to Middle Tennessee State University to earn a post masters certificate in psychiatric and mental health nursing to better treat the changing health needs of the clients she works with. As a lifelong learner, Rachel is pursuing additional training in lifestyle medicine.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Welcome to my page, I'm glad you are here! As a dual certified nurse practitioner in both psychiatric-mental health and family medicine, I provide individualized holistic mental health treatment that sees you as a whole person and not just a list of symptoms. I provide medication management for adults with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, chronic stress and addiction. I have special interest and additional training in the diagnosis and management of ADHD, and am passionate about helping other adults with ADHD build strategies to thrive in all areas of their life. I use a comprehensive approach, seeking to understand the root cause of illness and the interplay between physical health with mental health. I offer medication management, genetic testing, and supportive therapeutic interventions. When indicated, I can help you simplify your medication regimen or de-prescribe past medications that no longer serve you.
