About My Clients

I work with adults, parents, and teenagers in weekly therapy sessions to process what's going on in your life, feel better about yourself, gain clarity, and ease stress. Some clients struggle with anxiety or depression, or sometimes just feel overwhelmed, confused, resentful, and angry about relationships or other life issues. Clients appreciate the calm they feel during sessions and often leave with clarity, renewed hope, and confidence to face what's hard.

My Background and Approach

For the past twenty-five years I've been working and training in holistic healing modalities that I incorporate into therapy. Sessions typically include processing what is going on in your life, talk therapy, mindfulness and breathing practices to help regulate your nervous system, and some somatic (body) awareness work for trauma. I believe in a person centered approach and continue to attend trainings and learn about innovations in the mental health field. My purpose is to help people feel at peace, empowered, and authentic. With mindfulness-based, somatic psychotherapy we bridge that connection through talking, feeling, and working out solutions. I try to be a racially, ethnically, and culturally sensitive and informed therapist and strive to create a healing space for all clients.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I work hard to provide a healing space for all clients and I understand that I have hidden biases that may show up in my work. I take part in an equity team of therapist that strives to keep therapist inclusive and informed about issues affecting clients from races, religions, cultures and communities different than my own. I believe in working to support social justice, feminism, fighting antisemitism, and addressing environmental issues and the mental health impact of climate change.
