You are feeling stuck in your relationship. You might be wondering, is it them or is it me? You might be struggling to identify how you even feel or what you need, but you know you need support with communication and you are not where you would like to be in your close or romantic relationships. We will work together to bring you back home to yourself to find peace and clarity, as well as increase your skills to be able to have more productive conversations with others.

Anxiety and panic can feel like such a spiral...thoughts are leaping from one to the next without pause, you are struggling to trust yourself in decisions from your career to your relationship to what to eat for dinner tonight. You may be experiencing stomach upset, headaches, or insomnia- all signs your body is sending you to SLOW down and listen. I will support you by creating a space for you to listen to what your anxiety is here to say and when it's time to show it the door.

You have learned that many of your moods and behaviors are your mind and body attempting to protect you from harm, but they may also be inhibiting you from living a peaceful, meaningful, and connected life. You are not your trauma, your trauma is your experience of what happened to you and we will work together to heal and grow from the wounds that you have carried far too long.

I believe humans are beautifully complex beings with a mind, body, and spirit - to isolate healing to only one of these areas is to significantly limit potential growth. Therefore, as a therapist I seek to create a non-judgmental space where you can begin to tap into your inner wisdom by paying attention to your full experience of the present moment.

Most of us spend the majority of our lives in our head- constantly thinking, planning, problem solving. I will bring you back down into the rest of your body, as the messages and sensations it is sending you are wise and true. This can be scary and overwhelming at first, but we will create safety through therapeutic techniques to bring safety and peace with the mind body connection.

EMDR is rooted in the belief that you are your own best healer when it comes to trauma. EMDR provides the structure, while the therapist provides support and guidance, and then your mind and body work towards healing. I am intentional with this modality and spend time building your emotion regulation skills and self-awareness to prepare for trauma therapy, and then when you are ready to reprocess traumatic experiences, I am confident you will gain insight, perspective, and experience change.
