About My Clients
My clients are some of the bravest people I know. They typically come to me during some of the darkest and most difficult times of their lives. They continuously inspire me with their ability to rise above very difficult circumstances and emerge stronger, happier, calmer, and more fulfilled. My philosophy is simple - we are a team, working together, with the goal of helping you feel better.
My Background and Approach
I primarily use a method of therapy known as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a structured, present-focused approach that focuses on the ways our thoughts, feelings, and actions interact and effect our lives. I choose CBT most often because I strongly believe in its ability help people feel better. I am also trained in and pull in aspects of many other cognitive-based therapies, including mindfulness, DBT, and gradual exposure therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work as a therapist is deeply tied to my own beliefs about humans’ capacity to endure, grow, and change. I understand that you might not be feeling your best right now, and that finding a therapist can be difficult when you're struggling with depression, anxiety, or other distressing thoughts and feelings.
