My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and evidence-based. I strive to meet the unique needs of each person. Your goals and comfort will help determine where to start. My mission is for every client to learn skills for their current situation and then generalize them to cope with other difficulties that arise in the future.
My Background and Approach
I use evidence-based treatment for a range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, and general distress. I believe that by combining compassion and commitment, together we can overcome the obstacles that are creating difficulties achieving your goals and connecting to your values. The majority of my work focuses on helping people learn new ways of relating to and coping with emotions and understanding the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I work with young adults, and adults, drawing from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
