About My Clients
I offer teletherapy across all 5 counties of Hawai'i. I’ve had the pleasure to work with a wide variety of clients and issues, including individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, overcoming trauma, or simply feeling unsatisfied in their lives and relationships. My work with couples has focused on enhancing connection between partners while providing practical tools to address conflict and disagreements. I have also worked with adolescents and families to address many challenges.
My Background and Approach
Not all therapists are trained equally, and this is especially true when finding a couples or family therapist. I have extensive training and specialized experience in specific therapies that best benefit couples and families. If you and your loved ones find yourself struggling and stuck, reach out to a therapist who is trained to address these challenges. The same is also true for clients seeking to recover from traumatic experiences. Seeking help for recovery from trauma is a brave step, and I work diligently with my clients to help them reclaim their sense of self and empowerment without retraumatizing them. Working with clients recovering from trauma is one of my biggest passions, and it is my priority to give my clients the tools they need to feel in control of themselves and their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In the words of Dr. Marsha Linehan, "everyone is doing the best they can with the skills they have, and everyone needs to continue to learn and do better." I believe individuals are capable of unspeakable horror and unimaginable good. Life is about finding the balance between giving and receiving within ourselves and with others. I am passionate about empowering underrepresented and marginalized groups and have experiences working with and supporting the LGBTQ community, immigrant families, and diverse ethnic populations. My goal is to listen to all stories, and provide a space for individuals to lovingly reclaim the parts of their identity that have been discriminated against and shamed.
