About My Clients
I work with individuals of various backgrounds and life experiences. My strengths are in working with teens, young adults, and adults. I see individuals who are experiencing overwhelm and stress, anxiety and depression, challenging life changes, and grief and loss. I am an experienced guide during important life transitions at home, work, or at school.
My Background and Approach
I completed my Master's in Social Work (MSW) from Humboldt State University in 2006 and am a certified social work associate. I have had the privilege of working with people of all ages through many life challenges including anxiety and depression, trauma, grief and loss, significant stress, self-esteem, life transitions, and college or career concerns. My approach is client-centered, trauma informed, and strengths-based. I work to integrate a humanistic and systems perspective recognizing that we are all inextricably linked and impacted by our environment and lived experience. I believe in honoring client self-determination and working alongside them in reaching their identified goals. To do this, I pull from a variety of theories and modalities, centering a supportive, respectful, and safe therapeutic relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person has the capacity for personal growth and development. I understand that life challenges can be very difficult and at the same time be a catalyst for change, fostering personal understanding of the unique gifts and strengths that one holds. I am passionate about working with you to achieve your goals and see our work together as being a team effort.
