About My Clients
I work with adults, as well as toddlers, school-age children, and teens, navigating difficult transitions, emotional struggles, and the lasting effects of trauma. I believe that creating a safe, compassionate space tailored to each person's unique needs and pace can be the beginning of powerful, lasting change.
My Background and Approach
I'm trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and I'm a Registered Play Therapist™. I chose these approaches because they meet people where they are, whether that's a child who communicates through play or an adult carrying years of unprocessed trauma. My background spans inpatient hospital settings, community mental health, and specialized work with survivors of child sexual abuse, which means I'm comfortable sitting with complexity and crisis, not just the everyday stuff. Whatever you're bringing in, you're unlikely to say something I haven't encountered before.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a neurodivergent therapist myself, which shapes the way I see and work with clients who think, feel, and move through the world differently. I'm committed to advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community and believe affirming care isn't a specialty, it's a baseline. I'm passionate about making mental health support accessible to people who've historically been underserved, whether that's due to cost, stigma, or simply never finding someone who gets it.
