About My Clients
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, complex trauma, relational issues, and identity work through a post-modern, family oriented therapeutic lens. Every story is important and deserves to be heard in a safe and judgement free environment.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Our Lady of the Lake University-Houston and my undergrad in Psychology at Texas State University. I have training in systemic, post-modern therapy approaches such as Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Collaborative Therapy. I am also trained in Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) to help process Trauma and promote healing. I truly care and embrace all types of individuals and work to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship & alliance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is my belief that everything is a resource and small victories can lead to much bigger and more significant life changes in one's life. I will celebrate with you as we build a stronger foundation and gain knowledge and skills to help guide you through future transitions. I also believe that any learned behavior can be unlearned and relearned, it just takes practice and hard work. I am a huge believer in practicing the skills learned in sessions so that healthier habits and more positive thinking can become the routine. Lastly, I believe that self love and self compassion is essential to becoming the best version of yourself.
