About My Clients
You're a high-functioning adult who looks like you have it together while feeling exhausted underneath. Maybe you're deconstructing your faith, healing from religious trauma, or rebuilding after leaving a high-control group or cult. Maybe you're navigating what a psychedelic experience opened up and need help integrating it. You're tired of being told to just talk about it. I work with the real, raw, and messy, using EMDR and depth work to help you feel safe in your body again.
My Background and Approach
As an LCSW and EMDRIA Certified Therapist, you're working with someone trained rigorously in EMDR beyond a basic certificate, not just loosely applying a protocol. "Blind to the therapist" EMDR protocol is also available, so a memory can be processed without ever disclosing its contents. If you've been silenced, shamed into secrecy, or simply don't have words for what happened, healing doesn't require telling the story first. My lived experience with childhood trauma and a high-control spiritual community shapes this work from the inside, not from a textbook. The basics of what leaving a controlling system does to your nervous system don't need explaining before the real work starts. Religious trauma, faith deconstruction, and cult exit recovery are approached with that understanding built in. Trauma-informed psychedelic integration therapy is also offered for anyone making sense of an altered state experience, so insight has real support translating into lasting, grounded change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in every person's right to life, liberty, and personal security. This drives my commitment to supporting those whose early experiences of trauma have disrupted their sense of safety and self-worth. I've dedicated my life to fighting for justice and stepping up even in the face of discomfort or judgment, advocating for equity and healing. As a licensed therapist in Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and New Jersey, I use evidence-based practices like CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness to help clients overcome trauma, anxiety, and life's challenges. I'm also trained in psychedelic-assisted therapy with a focus on harm reduction and integration. Beyond my professional work, I value peaceful relationships, early morning tea, thunderstorms, my dogs, and hiking the Nevada mountains. I'm here to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care that affirms your unique journey. Let's work together to create real change and foster the life you deserve.
