About My Clients

I work with highly sensitive teens and adults ages 14 and up struggling with anxiety, depression, low self worth and relationships issues who are looking to overcome creative and motivational blocks, learn how to better manage "big" emotions and find greater purpose and joy in their daily lives. Many of my clients are "creatives" and fall on the spectrum of neurodiversity.

My Background and Approach

Hi, I’m Rachel. I’m a licensed professional counselor and board certified music therapist based in Philadelphia, PA. I love helping folks gain clarity around their goals and values and find their authentic voice in order to move forward with greater confidence in building the life they want to live. My approach is integrative, culturally sensitive and personally tailored to each individual’s needs, as I view therapy as a highly collaborative process. In addition to more traditional “talk therapy” approaches where we might explore things like how your past is influencing your present or the connection between thought, emotion and behavior, I also incorporate somatic and nonverbal modalities such as yoga, music therapy and EMDR. I find that a non-pathologizing, compassionate approach works best for helping individuals get to know, understand and heal all parts of themselves.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I truly believe it is an honor and privilege to journey alongside each individual who steps into my office (virtual or in person) as we uncover, discover and heal all the parts that make you who you are – and identify and figure out how to navigate around and through all the things that might be blocking your way! I take into account the ways in which systemic oppression impacts each individual and believe it is so important to untangle the shame that can hold us back from more fully committing to and showing up for a world of greater equity and social justice.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
