Hello! I'm Rachel, a down-to-earth, relatable, and modern therapist based in Nashville, TN.

About My Clients

Do you often find yourself saying "yes" to others at the expense of yourself and your needs? Do you have a tendency to "go along to get along?" Or maybe you feel the pressure of always needing things to be perfect- your work, how you look, what you say to others- and find yourself spiraling when you feel you've missed the mark. I get it. Living this way can be EXHAUSTING. If you're ready, I'd love to help you find your way back to yourself.

My Background and Approach

Anxiety can manifest in many forms and is different for each person. I believe that therapy should also be tailored specifically for each person. I am trained in and offer EMDR for those looking to find relief from past distressing experiences, and also practice ERP for clients struggling with OCD. I believe that healing occurs within the safety of a relationship, and I value bringing my genuine human self into each session (some humor included!). We are meant to connect, not be met with a blank slate. In our sessions, we explore how your past is showing up in the present, identify patterns, and develop new ways of coping. I'm not interested in just sending you off with a list of new coping skills; my goal is to help you build a better relationship with yourself, one with more understanding and compassion. This deeper work will lead to more lasting relief.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

First and foremost: therapy is political. I am a blue dot in a sea of red, and if you are too -- I see you. I believe in human rights: LGBTQIA+, women's rights, and BIPOC. The world is a scary place right now and it makes sense if you're feeling the effects of that. I work with the perinatal population, and I hold women, mothers, and mothers-to-be, and bereaved mothers in a special place in my heart. As someone who has experienced early pregnancy loss (x3), has experienced hyperemesis gravidarum, has undergone c-sections, was unable to breastfeed, and has 3 young children, I am intimately familiar with many of the challenges these women face - and just how strong we are, too. I am a member of Postpartum Support International and will be bringing The Climb walk to Nashville this fall in 2026.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
