About My Clients
If you’ve found yourself in the therapist's chair before but are still wrestling with unresolved issues, know that you’re not alone. Maybe you've developed coping strategies, but truly connecting with your emotions remains elusive. Perhaps you find yourself falling into old patterns of self-doubt. Sometimes you wonder if you're even capable of change. If this scenario strikes a chord, I’m here to help. We'll work together to help you cultivate self-compassion and develop a felt-sense of safety.
My Background and Approach
I earned a Master's in Social Work in 2023, but my journey in mental health advocacy began long before that. I’ve spent more than a decade studying trauma and its profound impacts. In 2013, I began teaching trauma-informed yoga and meditation, and two years later, following extensive training, I began leading grief groups for those impacted by a traumatic death. Witnessing the remarkable phenomenon of post-traumatic growth in myself and others fueled my passion for this work, and guided me to become a therapist. I firmly believe in the transformative power of mindfulness and self-compassion. These principles, rooted in trauma-informed care, create a safe space for understanding the profound impact of life experiences on thoughts, emotions, and the mind-body connection. Alongside this foundation, I'll work with you to incorporate somatic practices and distress tolerance skills to allow you to invite old patterns to release.
