About My Clients
I primarily serve the LGBTQIA community, folks with chronic illness, & neurodivergent folks. I welcome the kink community & those practicing non-monogamy. You may be interested in working with me if you are looking for an assessment to give you diagnostic clarity, if you are seeking more strategies to cope effectively or consistently, or if you are interested in approaching healing with alternative modalities like somatic or contemplative practices.
My Background and Approach
After receiving an MSW from Smith College, I gained specialized experience in assessment and diagnostics. I am experienced at providing individual, group, and couples therapy and coaching. I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training program and a 2 year meditation teaching mentorship. I am certified by Lama Rod Owens to facilitate the Seven Homecomings practice. I offer modalities and interventions such as psycho-dynamic psychotherapy, DBT skills, the Four Blinks (trauma reprocessing), psychoeducation, somatics, Buddhist psychotherapy, and mindfulness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach therapy as an inherently political process. How could it be otherwise when we live within powerful and oppressive systems? As a queer, disabled, non-binary therapist, I prefer to include my lived experience in my professional work. I live with Lupus, an systemic autoimmune condition. My other interests include studying Hindi, Urdu, and French, contemplative practice, gardening, and creative writing. I am lucky to share my life with my two cats, Florence and Clementine.
