Hi! I specialize in work with teenagers, as we all know this is a wild time to grow up! I'm excited to meet you! I'm the owner of a group practice, Pineapple Counseling. Between all of us we specialize in many needs. We see couples, families, children struggling with behavioral issues, eating disorders, trauma, and general life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I have found that working with teenagers takes a slow approach. If you have a teenager, you know we don't approach too quickly and make any sudden movements! So, building rapport is KEY! My goal when working with teens is to get to know you first. What do you like/dislike? What do you do for fun? We'll get into the nitty gritty later on once we have some trust built.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I provide therapy as support and guidance through a difficult time, so that clients can find joy in their lives again. I believes that people are the expert of their own lives, and my goal is to make therapy as comfortable and collaborative as possible. Problems do not have to become a permanent staple in one’s life. Through therapy, I believe people can find their happiness again.
