About My Clients

I really enjoy working with young adults navigating life changes, exploring identity issues, gender identity, as well as people navigating symptoms of anxiety and depression. Life can throw us curve balls and I think it can be difficult being a young adult learning how to function in society, especially if we don't feel like we have the skills to navigate it. I look forward to helping you in that journey. Currently accepting clients 16+.

My Background and Approach

I am a recent graduate in Mental Health Counseling from Marian University. Prior to accepting a job with The Brave Life Therapy I also was an intern here. I am in the process of obtaining licensure in Indiana and am currently in the pre-licensed stage practicing under supervision. I have previous experience working with developmental disabilities as well as clinical experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and life transitions. I use several different approaches in the therapy room that include but are not limited to: client centered - with the belief that therapists are working alongside their client not knowing them better than they know themselves, and also incorporating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, trauma informed therapy, and feminist theory.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have a passion for supporting and empowering individuals to make changes they wish to see within the therapy room. I believe in meeting people where they are at in that journey and take a genuine and authentic approach to therapy. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time traveling and enjoying nature, long boarding with friends, drawing or creating art, or spending time curled up with my cat on the couch. Mindfulness is also an important part of my life as I find it helpful to stay grounded and connected with the world I live in.
