I earned by my Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Family and Child Development from Texas State University and my Masters in Counseling from the University of Houston. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I have 6 years experience in the mental health field and in multiple group practice settings. I utilize a variety of theoretical orientations such as CBT, solution-focused therapy, play therapy, Gottman Method Couples Counseling, as well as Prepare/Enrich. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, low-self esteem, depression, ADHD, anger/irritability, and Autism. When I am not in session, I enjoy taking my dog on walks, exploring new coffee shops, and spending time with family. I also enjoy going to the gym because I believe that exercise is a great tool that aids in the reduction of stress and anxiety. Self-care is extremely important to me and I advocate for all of my clients to take some time for themselves every day.
