About My Clients
Do you find yourself achieving outward success yet feeling inwardly unsatisfied or burdened? Despite managing daily tasks and reaching goals, you may struggle to authentically connect with yourself, impacting your relationships, work, finances, and overall happiness. It's time to break free from this cycle! I specialize in helping individuals uncover underlying hurts, pains, and traumas that often hide behind "high-functioning" depression/anxiety, perfectionism, and low self-esteem.
My Background and Approach
As a licensed clinical social worker grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with over 6 years of experience, I am dedicated to transforming negative thought patterns and behaviors. My approach is warm, supportive, and inquisitive where I integrate interests like reading, arts, crafts, and music/art into sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In our initial session, we'll delve into your motivations for seeking therapy and collaboratively establish the most effective path forward. Many of our adult behaviors can be traced back to childhood traumas. Personally, I understand the weight of feeling dissatisfied and empty due to past traumas, particularly those related to paternal influences and my interactions with men, which left me feeling undervalued. My own therapeutic journey has provided me with profound insights into these experiences. Using CBT, I focus on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Together, we'll explore techniques to challenge and enhance these patterns throughout our sessions. Additionally, I've come to appreciate how our early attachments shape our adult relationships, and I've addressed these dynamics in my own therapy journey.
