About My Clients

Are you exhausted by the cognitive dissonance of trying to make an old faith fit a new reality? Do you feel disconnected from your body, oscillating between emotional numbness and overwhelming anxiety? Are you carrying guilt or shame alongside your grief, making it impossible to find rest? My goal is not to fix you or give you answers, but to help you move from a place of chronic overwhelm and spiritual confusion to a place of grounded clarity, self-trust, and inner peace.

My Background and Approach

My practice is rooted in a trauma-informed spiritual care, recognizing that our minds and bodies are not separate, and the work of healing integrates both in tandem. The thought of starting this work can feel overwhelming. In our first session, we won't dive into the deep end immediately. We’ll simply take time to get to know each other, map out where you are feeling stuck, and ensure you feel safe and heard. You set the pace. I utilize a blend of mindfulness and somatic practices to ground your nervous system, Family Systems Theory to understand the relational patterns that shape you and your context , and Non-Violent Communication to foster self-compassion and healthier connections. As a Board Certified Chaplain, I make a commitment to continuing to learn and review evidence-based approached to expand and update my approach. As a Spiritual Director, I can see virtual clients all around the United States (and the world!)

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

One aspect of the systems part of this work is recognizing that spirituality has often been the source of systemic harm, especially for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and disabled folks. I myself am disabled, and live with multiple chronic illnesses, and have a harm-reduction lens toward body positivity with size and disability. My personal beliefs are grounded in the goodness and wholeness of every expression of a person. My personal faith background is Protestant (Episcopal/Lutheran), and having been through my own experience with trauma, then leaving my faith and finding it again, it is my joy and honor to accompany others as they discover who they are as they grow and change.
