About My Clients
As a LCSW, I offer non-crisis, private pay, telemental health counseling to college students and professionals located in Mississippi that is trauma- and culturally- responsive, inclusive, empowering, and prevention- and justice-focused. My safe, virtual space allows you to prioritize maintaining your mental health and support processing your experiences like adjustments, stress, anxiety, trauma, relationships, grief, and burnout. I offer workshops about professional wellbeing and resilience.
My Background and Approach
In the 20 years that I have been a practicing social worker, I have learned to be a really good listener. I utilize a holistic approach that sees you as a whole person within your environment and highlights your strengths and individual power. I am sensitive, respectful, affirming, and empathic to the experiences we have in life. I help you find opportunities towards self-awareness, compassion, resources, and transformation. I walk alongside you as you work towards goals you set for yourself to improve areas in your life that involve acceptation, change, growth, connection, balance, and a healthy perspective and healthy body to thrive as your best authentic self, living a life worth living that you deserve.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we can work to prevent some mental health concerns and intervene early to manage mental health challenges. I work to normalize mental health and wellbeing. You do not have to suffer in silence alone. You are the expert on your life, but at times we all need someone to hear, witness our pain, and see us authentically. Consulting and Counseling with Rachel is a private pay practice. Credit/debit card and health savings payments are accepted through my practice management system. Additionally, Rachel accepts Teladoc, Meta, BHS and Mutual of Omaha EAP participants.
