I view therapy as a process that can help us discover more about where we've been, who we are becoming, and how we want to live.

Licensed Professional Counselor in Denver, CO

About My Clients

I’m passionate about walking alongside people who have a sense that, "Maybe, just maybe, it doesn't have to always be this way." You may be feeling stuck in the same relational dynamics, holding beliefs and ideas about yourself, others, and the world that no longer seem helpful, or wanting to figure out what it might look like to be a more healthy, whole, and honest person.

My Background and Approach

I have extensive experience treating anxiety, panic, depression, shame, acute and complex trauma, and working with people seeking to heal from family wounds, relational patterns & distress, addiction, and religious & spiritual harm. I help people set boundaries in line with their values, find greater safety with themselves, and practice new ways of being. I have pursued training in many areas such as addiction, neurobiology and anxiety, attachment, complex trauma, EMDR, couples & relationships. I work significantly with the LGBTQ+ community, and I'm queer myself. I'd love to talk with you further in a free 15-minute phone consultation!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has a story worth hearing and exploring, and that everyone has inherent dignity, no matter the pain they have inflicted or suffered. As someone who used to be immersed in environments characterized by more rigid and binary thinking, I have come to greatly value approaching people and situations with more complexity and nuance. I am gay, and I’m passionate about holding space for other LGBTQ+ folks to explore themselves and their experiences. As someone who grew up in conservative Christian spaces, I appreciate holding space for folks who are wrestling with their experiences from religious and spiritual environments. Many folks are wanting to explore what role, if any, spirituality plays in their life now, even if that means moving beyond religion.
