About My Clients

As a systemically and holistically trained psychotherapist, I support clients in their healing of emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual issues. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable practicing authentic vulnerability as a way to strengthen self-awareness and reconnect with their needs, values, and desires. My focus areas include: self esteem/identity, life changes, trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment/codependency, existential issues, inner child & shadow work

My Background and Approach

Our time together will begin with developing trust, gaining a deeper understanding of your story, and co-creating holistic goals based on your unique life circumstances. Together we will identify skills necessary to manage current life stressors as well as delve into deeper rooted issues that may be contributing to problems you are experiencing today. With a narrative therapy lens, I incorporate the use of storytelling to support you in releasing limiting beliefs, enhancing worthiness, and healing from trauma. Throughout therapy, I will provide the supportive space for you to rediscover your authentic self and strengthen your ability to create loving connections with both yourself and others. Modalities I use include: Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness-Based CBT, DBT, the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Informed therapy, and the enneagram.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am grounded in an anti-oppressive, intersectional feminist, and humanistic approach. I strive to provide a space where clients can speak their truth when they are ready, by de-centering the power dynamic in our work and creating a relationship of mutual respect and understanding. I value relationships, and I approach my work with respect for all people. I work to challenge racism, misogyny, homophobia, and oppression in all forms. In therapy, this practice looks like actively acknowledging the oppressive structures that may impact my clients’ experiences, reflecting on my social identity as white cis-gender woman in the therapeutic relationship, and creating an empowering space for your voice to be heard and your story to be told. I value transparency and feedback and will be open about the process and the different approaches we utilize throughout our working relationship.
