About My Clients

Do you struggle with feelings of being overwhelmed, feelings of being inadequate, depression, anxiety, or experience difficulty processing and coping with trauma? Do you feel "stuck", like what you are doing in life does not work for you? If so, you are not alone in those feelings; my goal is to walk the journey with you to find what does work for you and your personal goals, as well as your self-growth.

My Background and Approach

I am a graduate level, mental health counselor intern from Cazenovia College. My treatment approach is integrative with a strong emphasis on person-centered practice. I will meet my client wherever they are at so that we may work together to develop skills that will help the individual work through ambivalence, confusion, or current stressors, working toward helping the individual develop the confidence to implement them daily in their everyday life. Through motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral based methods, strengths-based approaches, mindfulness, dialectical-behavioral interventions, and other appropriate approaches to the individual, my goal is to provide each individual a safe, nonjudgemental space in which they can explore not only difficult aspects of their journey, but their goals for their future to further their personal growth and work toward the life they envision.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as an ally for all individuals in the community whose voices have been suppressed - be it on an interpersonal level, or systemic level. I am also a strong advocate for mental health accessibility, particularly for individuals with disabilities and the homeless population, due to a crisis-based work experience with a high need population. I believe that a culturally sensitive, trauma informed approach is important to addressing barriers to treatment within the community.
