About My Clients

I facilitate growth for clients experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, and relationship concerns by encouraging effective coping strategies, improving communication, and setting healthy boundaries. I enjoy working with couples who are navigating premarital preparation, conflicts in communication styles, building emotional and physical intimacy, repairing trust, and infertility/reproductive decisions. We'd be a great fit if you are a recovering high achiever and an aspiring "good-enough-ist."

My Background and Approach

My experience includes counseling college students, adults, and couples, using cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, trauma-informed, and shame-resilience techniques to build resilience and improve emotional well-being. I offer individual, premarital, or couples counseling as well as sex coaching. I facilitate growth by teaching effective coping strategies, improving communication, and setting healthy boundaries. I have experience working in a university, private practice, and telehealth-based settings. I have completed training for Levels 1 and 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as the 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work curriculum. I am also a certified clinical sexologist through the American Board of Sexology.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Life is complicated, but I am here to help clients navigate through overwhelming life transitions, periods of self-exploration, and stressful experiences. I provide a safe space for clients to engage in self-reflection, learn effective coping strategies, improve interpersonal functioning, and establish healthy boundaries. I have always been interested in helping others reach their goals and I am passionate about mental health advocacy. I believe that mental health is just as important as physical health and strive to use my education and training to help clients live their lives to the fullest. When I am not in session, I enjoy traveling (especially to the beach!), playing with my two pups, reading domestic suspense books, and trying new restaurants with my husband.
