About My Clients

I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, transitions, and interpersonal and family relationships. I have years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

My Background and Approach

Our therapy will be a space where it is okay to show up as your authentic self. We will collaborate to identify and work towards the changes you want to see in your life, brainstorm ways to overcome patterns you may feel stuck in, and support you in gaining the insight needed to foster progress. My therapeutic approach is informed by my years in community-based mental health and aims to be relational, strength-based, and trauma-informed. I strive to bring empathy, humor, and a nonjudgmental approach to the therapy space to support you in your journey. I use an integrative, holistic approach that pull from different therapeutic specialties that we will tailor specifically to your identified wants and needs - such as narrative therapy, family systems, mind-body connection, solution-focused, and emotion and person-centered. I approach therapy with the acknowledgement that we exist in and are impacted by cultural systems and structures that affect each of us differently.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe the most important part of therapy is finding someone who is the right fit for you and you feel you can form a genuine, trusting relationship with. I have experienced first hand the challenge of finally seeing a therapist and finding that you and that therapist don't connect. I strive to make my therapy space a place where relationship is at the center and you feel you can show up as your authentic, genuine self. It is my belief that people grow and change through the power of connection and relationship, and I aim to foster that in our shared space. I know that change is hard and seeking support is brave and vulnerable. The therapy process, when I found a provider I truly connected with, supported me in making sense of my lived experiences and identifying ways to cope with difficult emotions and experiences and hope to support you in doing the same. I aim to center social justice and a cultural humility lens in my approach.
