About My Clients
I am passionate about coming alongside individuals working through trauma recovery and seeking a deeper understanding of how trauma may be affecting their whole person. I have 10+ years of experience working with clients ages 16-30 with mental health struggles such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and suicidal ideation. I also work with LGBTQ+ teens and adults, especially those who have experienced religious trauma.
My Background and Approach
I take a big-picture approach, helping you look at how different parts of your life - like your relationships, identity, cultural background, and environment - affect your mental health. I offer calm, practical support when things feel like they’re falling apart. My goal is to create a space for you to lay down the heavy things you’ve been carrying and feel seen, heard, and supported. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, as well as a systems approach. My multiple years working in schools as a clinical social worker allowed me the opportunity to gain experience working with teens through many crisis situations. I like to utilize empathy, validation, and connection to meet my clients where they are at.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Having undergone my own personal experiences with anxiety, depression, and trauma - I am able to find a deep empathy for those around me in all areas of my life including work. I found healing through therapy and to this day utilize my coping skills of body movement, self care activities, and mindfulness. I love cooking, reading, shopping, and swimming! I believe deeply in the inherent worth of all individuals - we all have value and something to add to this world.
