About My Clients

I work with adults and veterans who are navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, burnout, or major life transitions. Many of my clients are capable and resilient but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted behind the scenes. Therapy offers a steady, supportive space to process what you’re carrying and build tools for lasting change.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and the founder of Q’s Counseling PLLC. I provide virtual therapy to adults across the state. Before becoming a therapist, I grew up as a first-generation immigrant, served as a veteran, and later navigated the transition into motherhood and professional life. These lived experiences shape how I understand stress, identity shifts, resilience, and the invisible pressure to stay strong. Clinically, I integrate evidence-based approaches to support clients managing anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment challenges, and burnout. I help clients understand how past experiences, trauma, and learned coping patterns influence present-day thoughts, emotions, and relationships. My approach is collaborative and steady. Therapy with me is both supportive and practical — a space to process what’s heavy while building skills that promote long-term growth and emotional resilience.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe mental health care should be accessible, culturally responsive, and grounded in respect. As a veteran, mother, and woman of color, I understand the stigma behind mental health and how identity, responsibility, and cultural expectations can quietly shape how we cope and how much we carry. I value growth and self-compassion. I believe healing is not about becoming someone different entirely, but about understanding yourself more fully and learning to move through life with clarity and confidence. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to grow, and empowered enough to make meaningful change.
