My training at San Diego State University focused extensively on the Narrative Therapy approach, as did the practice I did as a trainee therapist within the program.

When looking to grow personally I focus on values held by clients and center those in finding accessible, achievable paths toward living a life more centered on one's values.

I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself and hope to hold and create space in which clients can engage safely with concerns and experiences they have around their sexuality. I try not to make any assumptions about what being LGBTQ+ might mean to a client and work with them from their own understandings of their identities and experiences.

When dealing with times of stress, I work with clients to identify the problem they are experiencing, and look to times where that problem has been present, but less pressing, or not present at all to look toward skills, values, and techniques that may have been overlooked in the face of the current problem which could help to reduce the problem's influence on the client's life.
