About My Clients
Many of my clients have been carrying a lot for a long time. They’re often dealing with anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship strain, or questions about identity and direction. On the outside, they appear capable and steady. Inside, they’re worn down by self-criticism and the pressure to always have it together. They’re looking for therapy that’s practical, grounded, and focused on meaningful change — not just talking in circles.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor working primarily with men and LGBTQ+ clients navigating anxiety, stress, identity shifts, and life transitions. My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based, mindfulness-informed therapy. We focus on how your mind responds to pressure, uncertainty, and self-criticism and how to respond differently. Instead of fighting thoughts and emotions, we build flexibility so they don’t run your life. Clients often appreciate that I’m direct without being judgmental. I’ll challenge patterns that keep you stuck while helping you develop skills you can actually use outside of session. The goal is greater self-trust, clarity, and the ability to move forward with intention — even when life feels uncertain.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are doing the best they can with the tools they’ve been given. Struggling doesn’t mean you’re broken, it often means the strategies that once worked no longer do. Real change happens when we stop fighting ourselves and start responding with more honesty, flexibility, and self-respect. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I value creating a space where people don’t have to perform, justify, or edit who they are to be taken seriously. My work is affirming of diverse identities, relationships, and ways of living. Outside of therapy, I find grounding in time spent outdoors and through Zen and Iaido practice. Nature shapes how I think about resilience, direction, and finding your footing when the path ahead isn’t clear. Those values show up in my work as steadiness, respect, and trust in your capacity to move forward.
