About My Clients
I work with children, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, behavioral challenges, and self-esteem concerns. I use age-appropriate, evidence-based approaches, including play-based interventions with children, to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. I also provide culturally responsive care and have insight into military family life. Together, we'll build practical tools for lasting growth and healing.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland who works with children, teens, and adults. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and play-based interventions with children when appropriate. Every treatment plan is tailored to each client's unique strengths, goals, and needs. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and provide culturally responsive care. As someone who speaks English, Urdu, Hindi, and Pashto, I understand the importance of culture, family values, and communication in the therapeutic process. I also have firsthand insight into military family life and understand the unique challenges of transitions and family stress. My goal is to help clients build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build on their strengths, and work toward their personal goals. I value authenticity, empathy, and cultural humility, and I strive to create an inclusive environment where every client feels welcomed and heard.
