My Background and Approach
My professional background includes years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Through these roles, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams, helping individuals navigate emotional, behavioral, developmental, and health-related challenges. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being. My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe every individual possesses unique strengths and the capacity for growth and healing. I tailor therapy to each client's age, needs, and goals while creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and strengths-based interventions, I help clients build resilience, improve coping skills, strengthen relationships
